Jackie Lee McCall, 89, of Welch, WV, passed away peacefully on February 18th 2025 at CMAC, leaving behind a legacy of love, friendship, and family. Born September 25, 1935 in Mohegan, WV, to Shade and Nell McCall he was a retired coal miner. He enjoyed spending his days either relaxing in the sun with his pet cat, Kitty, or sharing meals and laughter at the Commission on Aging with his dear friends, especially Don Reed, who affectionately called him “Pawpaw.”
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Shade and Nellie Mable McCall; his beloved wife, Beulah Mae McCall; his sister, Mable Ann Akers; his brother, Neil Anderson McCall; his brother-in-law, James Edward Mitchem; and his son, Thomas Edward McCall.
Left behind to cherish his memories are his children, Johnny Lee McCall (Tammy), Mary Ann Adams, and Betty Lynn Green (Denny). And grandchildren: Johnny McCall Jr. (Rebecca), Donald McCall, Jason Lane, Jacob Adams (Courtney), Jackie Carlo McCall, Jeffrey Green II (Kelcy), Jonathan McCall, and Rebecka Smith (Thomas) and a host of great-grandchildren
Jack was always quick to share and joke, and kindness that touched the lives of all who knew him. His family and friends will forever treasure the moments spent together, sharing stories, laughter, and love.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Dan Pruett officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may call prior to services, from 1:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home.
