Jackie Moore Obituary
Jackie Robinson Moore, Sr. was born on February 17, 1950, in Indianola, Mississippi to the union of Johnnie Moore Sr. and Moeal Moore. He was educated in Sunflower County, MS. He enlisted in the US Navy in 1969. He was employed with the International Longshoremen's Association until he retired. Jackie was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, family man and friend. He enjoyed watching football (San Francisco 49ers) and wrestling. Jackie's beautiful life will forever be cherished, and his legacy will continue in the lives of his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Jackie Robinson Moore, Sr. was preceded in death by: his parents, Johnnie Moore, Sr. and Moeal Moore; and siblings, Rev. Willie Moore (Mary), Mable Ball, Robert Moore, Louella Taylor (James), Shirley Moore, Johnnie Moore, Jr., and Sallie LeCount (Clunder).
He leaves behind: his children, Yolanda Gainey (Otha), Jackie Robinson Moore, Jr. (Linette), LaTisha Wilson, and Maurice Wilson; grandchildren, Mariah, Dorrell, Nyla, Heavenleigh, Rolil, Arielle, Quentin, Nicole, Kenneth, JDario, Maeisha, Noah, Noavareous, Diamond, Robert, Keyshawn, Desmond, Zane, James, Ava, Sariah, Rebekah, David, Ninah, Donte Jr., Tashell, Dawn, Darius, Dorrian, Sevyen, Danielle, Terrance Jr., Terriana, and Amir; siblings, Daniel "Pete" (Earlene) Moore, Lena (Carl) Regis, Bobbie Moore, Albert Moore, Mary Moore (Gerald), and Brenda Donald (Horace); sister-In-laws, Christine Moore and Elease Moore; special friend, Lisa Moore; and a host of additional relatives and friends that are too numerous to mention, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 26, 2024, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
