Jackie Morgan Oberbauer

Newton Grove, NC: Ms. Jackie Morgan Oberbauer, age 77, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2026 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield, NC, surrounded by her loving family. The family will receive friends from 12:45PM-1:45PM, Monday, February 9, 2026 in the fellowship hall at Elevation Methodist Church in Benson, NC. A Memorial Service will follow at 2:00PM in the church sanctuary. Rev. Donald Sadler will officiate.

Ms. Oberbauer was born on July 31, 1948, in Harnett County, NC to the late Edwin F. Morgan and Lucille Creech Morgan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her mother, Christine Creech Morgan, siblings, Jerry Donald Morgan, Sr., Johnny Edwin Morgan, Ronald Frazier Morgan, and Jefferson Dale Morgan. Ms. Oberbauer was a retired paralegal, and was also a homemaker. She loved boating at Kerr Lake, NC, landscaping, coaching softball, and reading.

Survivors include her son, Franz Oberbauer and wife, Rebecca Long; sisters, Anne M. Johnson and husband, Randy, Judy Caldwell, Pat Krause, Kathy Huddleston and husband, Joe, Donna Godwin and husband, Tommy, and Carol Beasley and husband, Randy; many loving nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Julie Morgan, and Michelle Morgan-Johnson.
