Jackie Vernon Vannetter, age 66, a cherished individual and dedicated Mold Technician at Berry Global, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2025, at the Bells Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born on June 24, 1959, in Wheeling, West Virginia, Jackie lived a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion to both family and profession. A memorial gathering to celebrate Jackie's life will be held on July 18, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Lea & Simmons Funeral Home, located at 1280 S Dupree Ave, Brownsville, TN, 38012.
Jackie's legacy extends beyond his work; he proudly served his country in the United States Army, embodying a spirit of service and commitment. In his spare time Jackie enjoyed watching NASCAR, especially his favorite driver, Rusty Wallace. He also was a big fan of the Tennessee Volunteers, supporting his team with enthusiasm. In addition to his sports interests, Jackie enjoyed playing horseshoes and had a lifelong love for country music and was often found dancing the two-step.
He is lovingly remembered by his sisters, Sheila Vannetter Lott (Richie), Tina Vannetter Anderson (Noel), both of Brownsville, TN, and Arlice Vannetter Barker of Dickson, TN, as well as his brother, David Vannetter of Jackson, TN. He will be remembered and missed by several nieces and nephews. His family will forever cherish the memories and impact he made in their lives. Jackie was preceded in death by his parents, Jackie Raybert Vannetter and Nancy Carolyn Stevens Forsythe.
Jackie's kind spirit, vibrant personality, and unwavering love for his family will be missed by all who knew him. The family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 1640, Hagerstown, MD 21741. All arrangements and services are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home.
