Jack was born May 23, 1940 in Greensburg, IN, a son of the late Roy Webb and Mildred Coffey nee' Bottom. Jack graduated from Arlington high school in 1958. His education after that came from the school of hard knocks, trial and error and self-made determination. He was the owner operator of Webb's Welding in Rush County many years. He helped countless farmers, businesses and residents of his community with their welding needs for decades. It has been said that Jack made one or two horse trailers in his life! He was a talented, fabricator and welder, and a big part of his community.
Jack also raised and raced standard bred horses throughout his life. He loved his horses. He loved all the grief and happiness that came from them each day. He was a member of the Indiana Standard Bred Association.
Left behind are his daughters, Lori (Larry 'Wink') Martindale of Rushville; Lisa (Rick) Hartwell, of Rushville, Teresa (Tony) Keith of Arlington; a son, Marc (Melissa) Webb of Arlington. 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and one on the way.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his former wife, Rebecca, daughter, Jackie Walker; four brothers, Keith, Bob, Marion and Melvin and two sisters Imogene Morris and Barbara Hamilton.
A celebration of life will be 7 PM Thursday, March 20, 2025 at Todd Funeral Centre & Crematory. The service will be officiated by his lifelong friend, Tim Starkey. Visitation for Jack will be from 4 PM until the time of the service on Thursday. Inurnment will take place at Rushville's East Hill Cemetery at a later date.
