Jackie White Obituary
Born on November 25, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Levis and Laura Grant Carnes. Mrs. White was a self-employed Cosmetologist and attended Hartwell Church of God.
Survivors include her son: Dennis White (Rhonda) of Hartwell; two brothers: twin brother Johnny Carnes of Hartwell and Wilton Carnes (Martha) of Washington GA; four grandchildren: Amanda Cleveland (Daniel) of Sequin TX, William Andrews, Keri Shirley (Curtis) and B.J. White (Heather) all of Hartwell; seven great-grandchildren: Logan Dowell of Statesboro GA, Tyler Welborn of Royston, Gia Cleveland of Sequin TX, Payton Shirley, Rylee Fleeman, Alivia Shirley, and Madden Buffington all of Hartwell; and two special friends: Judy Cobb and Gloria Isom of Hartwell.
Mrs. White was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Jack G. "Butch" White; her daughter: Sue White Thomasson; five sisters: Sadie Peeples, Sara Mae Byrum, Patsy Ruth Martin, Willie Myrt "Bill" Whitaker and Stella Carnes; six brothers: Gartrell Carnes, Edgar Carnes, T.J. Carnes, Little Brother Carnes (who only lived two days), Denver Carnes and Vincent Carnes.
The family will receive friends Tuesday morning from 11:00 to 12 noon at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Other times the family will be at their respective homes.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Jackie White will be held Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at 12:00 noon in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Lonnie Bennett and Mr. Logan Dowell officiating.
Flowers optional, memorials may be made to the Hartwell Church of God, 120 Race Street, Hartwell GA 30643.
