MCFARLAN - Jackie Livingston White, 77 of McFarlan passed away peacefully on January 31, 2026 at home with her family at her side. The day was filled with falling snow, which was peaceful and stunning, much like Jackie.
Born to the late Robert and Janie Livingston, Jackie always boasted to be slightly spoiled as she was, “the baby!” Marrying the love of her life in 1965 only continued the spoiling as Julian never seemed to tell her no!
Jackie will be remembered for her deep love of family and strong faith. She was a devoted Wife, Mama, Granny, Sister, and Friend. She never missed the opportunity to take the trip, drink the coke, have a lemon doughnut, eat the vanilla ice cream, or reapply the lipstick! Her favorite days were spent with her family and she insisted that they always share a meal or at a minimum a glass of tea!
She is survived by her husband, Julian and their children. Julie and Brian Melton, Joel White, and Joye and Scott St. Louis. She took pride in her grandchildren, Leslie & Brent, Eric & Jenni, Elizabeth & Billy, Luke and Jonah. Her legacy continues through her great grandchildren, Hailee, Baylee, Garrett, Savannah, Gabby, Chloee, and Josie. Her sisters Clara Marie and Margaret along with numerous nieces and nephews that she loved as her own.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Jacquelyn and siblings Robbie Jean, Jimmy, and Edd.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, 126 Main Street McFarlan North Carolina. It will begin at 11:00 and will conclude with visitation and lunch, just as she would want it.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to Pleasant Hill Cemetery Fund attention Mr Perry Johnson, PO Box 18, McFarlan North Carolina 28102.
The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home and online condolences may be made at www.leavittfh.com
