Jacklyn Louise Stone

Jacklyn "Jackie" Stone, just months shy of her 91st birthday, the ultimate mom and grandma passed away March 20,2026. 

Jackie is remembered by her grandchildren as "The BEST Grandma ever". She wore that title all the way to her Great-Grandchildren. She began life in Silver City, New Mexico, the daughter to hardworking ranch people. She attended Western University and married George "Jeep" Stone from nearby Hurley, New Mexico in 1956. Jeep joined the Navy upon graduation from western and their married life also began a long military career life. Jackie was, at times, left to raise 3 children by herself. They experienced many duty stations all over the United States including their first, a brand-new base in the U.S territory of Hawaii. Jackie, who never learned to swim wasn't a fan! 

She is survived by her three children, Sherri Kinney, Ron Stone, Deanna Suggs, her 5 grandchildren Janel Ollason, Carissa Stone, Troy Suggs, Cassidy Stone and Karley Stone. And her 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2019 after 63 years of marriage, her brother Arnold Hawkins, Grandchildren Christopher Kinney in 2011, Kaylee stone in 2018 and Rachelle Garcia in 2026.

 A memorial service will be held on April 13,2026 at 10:00 A.M. at Daniels Funeral Home on Wyoming, Albuquerque, NM. Interment will follow on April 17,2026 at The National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM.
