DYER CHAPEL - Jacky Floyd Cooper, born on November 27, 1964, in Cookeville, TN, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2025, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was a beloved figure in his community and will be deeply missed all who knew him.
Jacky had a successful career as a roofer for many years, a profession that showcased his hard work and dedication. He attended Cookeville Schools, where he laid the foundation for a life dedicated to both his family and his passions. Jacky enjoyed a variety of hobbies, including watching wrestling, westerns, Looney Tunes, old sitcoms, and socializing. He cherished the moments spent with his family, always finding joy in their company.
He leaves behind a loving family who will carry his memory forward. Jacky is survived by his daughter, Amanda (Travis) Knight of Cookeville; stepdaughter, Aliesha Clark of Cookeville; stepsons, Joshua Timothy Jones of Baxter and Kenneth Ellis Covert of Cookeville; sisters, Rita Hale and Nancy Hale of Cookeville; brother, Billy Ray Cooper; grandchildren, Ayden Knight; and step-grandchildren, Alexis McCloud, Madison Rowe, Dashon Ealy and Chloe Covert.
Jacky was preceded in death by his father, Dewey Lee Cooper; mother, Winnie Lee Clouse Crowder; wife, Connie Wray Cooper; and siblings, Norman Lee Cooper, Dewey Cooper, Jr., and Willis Dean Cooper. Their memories will remain a comforting presence as his family reflects on the love and guidance they received from him.
Funeral Services for Jacky will be held at 1pm, Friday, January 24th, 2025 from the Dyer Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Homes. Interment will follow at West Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11am until time of services at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Travis Knight, Cody Wilmoth, Tyson Hale, Nathanial Stults, James Hale and Chris Hale.
Jacky Floyd Cooper's legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will remember him for his kindness, dedication, and the joy he brought to their lives.
