Jaclyn Marie McBride, a beacon of loving light and unwavering courage, passed away on August 27, 2025, at the age of 39 in Media, PA. Born on December 26, 1985, in Philadelphia, PA, Jaclyn's vibrant spirit and friendly nature touched the lives of all who knew her. She was a cherished daughter, a devoted mother, and a caring sibling, whose presence will be profoundly missed but fondly remembered.

Jaclyn was born to Margaret "Peggy" McBride-Somaya and the late Leander Taylor, and was lovingly raised by her mother and her husband, Ramchand Somaya. She grew up surrounded by a large, caring family that included her child, Ashley Morgan Combs, who was the light of her life, and her sibling, Nicholas Ramchand Somaya, with whom she shared a special bond. Jaclyn was also a beloved niece to her aunts and uncles, Kate and Bob Palmer, Michael, Gregory and JoAnne, Marie, the late Tommy, Leo and Cindy, Franky, Kevin and his partner Michael Haines, and Christine McBride, as well as Nancy and Mark Williams. She held a special place in the hearts of her "in-laws," Margaret Combs and Rose Orapallo, who considered her family in every sense of the word.

A graduate of Northeast High School in Philadelphia, Jaclyn carried the same dedication and hard work into all aspects of her life. She was known for her love of the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies, a passion that was only matched by her love for her family. Jaclyn's zest for life was evident in her enjoyment of music and swimming, activities that reflected her beautiful, loving soul.

Jaclyn's life was a testament to the values she held dear: love, courage, and friendliness. She approached every challenge with a brave heart and extended a helping hand to friends and strangers alike. Her ability to connect with people was remarkable, and her warm, engaging personality made her a friend to many.

Her daughter Ashley was the most important person to her, and Jaclyn's legacy of love and strength will continue to live on through her. The close-knit family Jaclyn so dearly loved will remember her for her infectious laughter, her unwavering support, and her ability to make each moment count.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, September 3rd, 2025 from 9:30 to 10:45am at St. Gabriel's Church, 2917 Dickinson St., Philadelphia, PA 1916. Mass will be at 11am in the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ashley Combs, c/o Logan Funeral Home, 2901 Wilder St., Philadelphia, PA 19145 to assist the family during this time.
