Died: February 18, 2024 in Dixon, IL
Jacob E. Blei age 91 of Dixon died Sunday Feb. 18, 2024 at KSB Hospital. He was born Dec. 18, 1932 in Sterling, IL the son of Berthold and Helen (Gewecke) Blei. Jacob had worked for the State of Illinois Dept. of Central Management Services as a mechanic for 21 years prior to retirement in 1996. He was a veteran of the Navy serving from 1952 to 1956 during the Korean War. He enjoyed playing solitaire, reading nonfiction books and planting and caring for his tomato plants. He was preceded in death by his parents. Jacob is survived by friends Ron Schrader and Tina Maldonado. Graveside services will be on Thursday Feb. 22, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Oakwood Cemetery in Dixon. Arrangements by the Jones Funeral Home in Dixon. Condolences can be left at www.thejonesfh.com.
