Jacob T Bradich II ("Jake"), 55, of West Mifflin, died suddenly on Thursday February 13, 2025. Born May 4, 1969 in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Jacob Sr. and Marie J. DePaolo Bradich. Jacob was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Monroeville, West Mifflin and Oakland areas. He was also a U.S. Army veteran, where he served in Korea and Iraq. Jake was also the Commander of the West Mifflin V.F.W. Post 914 Intrepid. He is survived by his girlfriend of over 30 years, Jackie Knudsen, two step-daughters, Julie (Charles) Wolbert and Kolleen Barva-Hamlin and three step-grandchildren, Anastasia "Anna", Logan "Lolo" and Charley "Cool Chuck". Besides his parents he was also preceded in death by a sister, Victoria Bradich.
When Jake was not at work or with the VFW and supporting the local community, you could find him fishing. If not fishing he was taking in all the local sports. Jake was always the man of the hour, he enjoyed meeting up with old friends from the military/post office and sharing stories (you could never get a word in with him), and if you did he probably didn't hear you.
Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, from 2-8 P.M. in the William S. Skovranko Memorial Home Inc., 828 Richford St., Duquesne. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at 10:30 A.M. in Christ Lutheran Church, 405 Kennedy Ave., Duquesne, with Pastor John Gropp. PRIVATE Burial with Military Honors will follow at the Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville. A celebration of Jake's life will be held at the Homeville Volunteer Firehall #1 at 3 P.M. (Everyone is invited). In lieu of flowers please make donations to the V.F.W. Post 914 West Mifflin C/O Gary Rustin, 104 Glencoe Drive, West Mifflin, PA. 15122 or the American Heart Association.
