Jacob Newman Hardin III

Jacob Newman Hardin III, 61, of Colorado Springs, a loving son and brother, devoted husband,
father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and man of unwavering faith, passed away on September
23, 2025 after a long battle with interstitial lung disease, leaving behind a legacy of love, hard
work, and joy.
Jake shared his life with his beloved wife of over 40 years, Barbara, with whom he raised five
children: Kristen Nichole, Jacob Michael, Lyssa Marie, Tiffany Lauren, and Katelynn Rose.
Together, they built a loving family rooted in faith, strength, and resilience.
A tireless provider, Jake worked as a landscape General Manager and often held multiple jobs
to care for his growing family. When his children grew older, he pursued his deep lifelong calling
to ministry, attending Nazarene Bible College in Colorado Springs. His unshakable faith, warm
smile, and gentle spirit touched all who knew him and remained a constant presence through
his final days.
Jake is survived by his mother, Thelma Louise Hardin; father, Jacob Newman Hardin Jr.;
brother, Boyd Scott Hardin; and sister, Carmen Rochelle Blanchard. He was a proud
grandfather to eight grandsons: Aiden, Boston, Jacob (JP), Brody, Wyatt, Liam, Elliot, and
Rainn-and a cherished great-grandfather to Juniper Pearl.
Jake's life was marked by faith, family, and perseverance, and he will be remembered with love
by all whose lives he touched.
A celebration of Jake's life will be held at The World Prayer Center in Colorado Springs,
11005 Voyager Parkway on the morning of Thursday, October 16th, 10:00 a.m.
All floral arrangements can be sent directly to the World Prayer Center no later than 9am on the
day of the service.
Jake's memorial service will be live streamed for those who are unable to attend in person.
