JACOB "JAKE" THEODORE HEATH

It is with profound sadness that the family of Jacob "Jake" Theodore Heath of New Hope, Minnesota, announce his passing on April 6, 2021 at the age of 31. Jake, the son of Theodore "Brett" Heath and Stacy Marie Sullivan Heath, was born on August 23, 1989 in The Woodlands, Texas. He is preceded in death by grandfather, Theodore Wesley Heath and grandmother, Shirley Marie Sullivan. He is survived by grandfather, Bob Arthur Sullivan of Northfield, Minnesota and grandmother, Mary Janice Heath of Kansas City, Kansas; his parents Brett and Stacy; stepmother, Jennifer Kay Heath; siblings, Jessica Heath (Kyle) Walker and Luke Heath; step-siblings, Jake (Rachel) Bailey and Kaitlyn Bailey; goddaughter, Hazel Jo Johnson; as well as Douglas Golden, Alison Golden, Jenna Golden and numerous loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Jake graduated from College Park High School in The Woodlands, Texas, where he was a forward on the Cavaliers basketball team. He earned his BA at Texas A&M Corpus Christi. There, he was the president and founder of the Islander fishing team and competed in and won numerous fishing tournaments. He was ranked #11 in The FLW College Fishing League and there he made many lifelong friendships. After completing his studies, Jake started his career in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was a gifted salesman and Account Executive, selling cyber security software at Okta. His true love in life was bass fishing in Northern Minnesota; he spent the majority of his free time chasing fish around the many lakes in Minnesota with his brother and close friends. In 2012, he founded Bass Predator, an apparel line many of his friends and family could be found wearing on a regular basis. Many of his fishing excursions are documented on the Bass Predator TV YouTube Channel.

Jake was a man of faith and deeply dedicated to his family. His many friendships were marked by good times and fierce loyalty. He was adored and cherished by his girlfriend, Megan Feyereisen. His warm, fun-loving aura could be sensed from across the room, which made him the favorite among children of all ages and earned him the nickname Baby Lover. Just days before his passing, he became a proud new homeowner in New Hope, where he planned to raise his Bernese Mountain dog puppy, Evie, named after the Evinrude motor on his beloved Bass Cat boat.

Jake's family and closest friends will celebrate his life this Sunday, April 11th. The service may be accessed by live stream and online condolences may be expressed in the public Facebook group titled Jakes Launch. In lieu of flowers, donations toward a charity to be selected by the family can be made at bit.ly/JakeHeathMemorialFund. Jake's ashes will be spread at his beloved Cross Lake.
