Ann was born on November 27, 1954 in Braham, MN, to Franklin Carl Johnson and Ruby Violet (Munson) Johnson.
Ann graduated from Cooper High School, part of the Robbinsdale School District, in New Hope, MN, in 1972. As a young
teenager, she worked for a caterer, followed by a job with K-Mart, and ultimately got a job at Northwestern Bell (later becoming
U.S. West, Quest Communications, and lastly Century Link). Ann spent 39 years working in the communications industry.
On October 2, 1976, Ann married Mark Caspers and together they built a beautiful life. Ann was extremely smart, had a quick
wit. She was a great cook and baker; everybody loved her Christmas cookies. She loved sewing, doing needle point,
dancing, gambling with her sister, fishing, snowmobiling and speeding time at our rustic cabin on the lake where she loved
having company, especially the great nieces and nephews. The fall of 2016 we started on our retirement home.
As Christmas was her favorite time of year, Ann and Mark would decorate the house from top to bottom for the holidays.
She loved to host and entertain her family and friends, who meant so much to her.
Ann is survived by her husband of 49 years, Mark, brother Carl (Elisabeth) Johnson, sister-in-law Mary Johnson,
niece Melinda (Barry) Clancy, nephew James (Stacy) Pipenhagen, niece Rachel (Aaron) Williams,
niece Andrea (Derrick) Smith, many great nieces, nephews, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sister Mary and brother-in-law Thomas Pipenhagen, brother Ralph Johnson.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to everyone at Essentia St. Mary’s Hospital, for the love, care, and comfort
they provided.
We ask you not to send flowers or money. If you would like, we ask you to donate to your local food shelf, or donate
through your church to your local food shelf. Thank You All. GOD BLESS.
A celebration of Ann’s life will be held at a later date. Details to come later.
