Jacob Herndon Obituary
He was preceded in death by his parents: Jake Herndon Jr & Virginia Gibbs Herndon.
He is survived by his wife, Dolly Hamilton Herndon; his children, Jake W. Herndon IV; and his grandchildren, Justin Herndon & Jake Herndon V.
Jake was a lifelong farmer in Richmond, Kentucky. After retiring, he and Dolly moved to Alabama to be with his son and grandchildren. He was very active in attending all of their activities, including serving as mentor for the Science Olympiad, and he never missed soccer and cross country competitions. He also enjoyed UK sports and was always making wood and metal gadgets to make life easier.

So sorry to hear of Jake´s passing he was a wonderful, beautiful soul. He always helped us girls over in assembly no matter what he was doing in a plan or where he was he would come and help us girls on the curling ribbon. The bows are just whatever he would come and make sure that everything was working properly and sometimes he would stay half the day. He always said that we were his girls and he had to take care of us. He was such a beautiful man and I know he´s flying high in heaven. What a beautiful spirit see you in heaven someday Jake.
