Mr. Jacob Jordan Houdershelt

Jacob Jordan Houdershelt, 39, of Keystone Heights, Florida, died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident early Saturday morning, July 15, 2023. Jacob was born in Gainesville, Florida on September 2, 1983, to Neva Janiece (Altman) and Bobby Lee Houdershelt.
Jake attended Keystone Heights High School where he played the flute in the Indian Marching Band. He loved music and learned to play several instruments. He was an avid wood worker and loved to make gifts for family and friends. He worked with his dear friend, Jason Kraemer, in Jason's business enterprise, creating metal art. His most recent employment was with Lake Area Landscaping where he was a supervisor.
Jacob was preceded in death by his grandparents, William Harvey and Irene Burnsed Houdershelt; James William Altman and Neva Belle (Altman) (Pete) Bondi. He is survived by one Grandmother, Pearl Altman; parents, Bobby Lee (Debbie) Houdershelt, Neva Janiece (Randy) Manning; two brothers, Jeremy Jason Houdershelt and Joshua Justin Houdershelt; three step-brothers, Michael Devon Fingulin, Thomas Joseph Fingulin, and Jonathan Kenneth Kwaak; and one step-sister, Victoria Marie Fingulin. He leaves behind seven cousins, Kimberly Altman, James Kenneth Altman, Cyan Michele Altman, Janelle Victoria Altman, Miranda Courtney (Altman) Boman, Heather Suzanne (Hany) Naggar, and Catherine Janeva (Ryan) Reeves. Jake also leaves behind a dear lifelong friend, Heather Wilson.
Visitation will be at Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home in Keystone Heights, Saturday, July 22, 2023, from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, and greatly appreciated, to help defer end of life expenses. Jacob did not have insurance of any kind. The Venmo link is https://venmo.com/u/dhoudershelt.
