Jacob “Jake” D. Giardina, Jr. passed away in the comfort of his home among family and friends on Sunday, July 23, 2023 at the age of 82. Loving husband of Ila P. Giardina. Beloved father of Jacob Giardina, III (Cheryl), Donna Billiot and the late Danielle Giardina. Son of the late Jacob D. Giardina, Sr. and Helen Giardina. Brother of Patsy White (the late Charles). Jake is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He is the Grandfather of Maegan Billiot Brister (Ben), Gregory Jr., Brandi Martinez (Jaime), Rusty Giardina, Amanda Paternostro (Brandon), Sam, Dusty and Kerry. Great Grandfather of Ava, Benny, Baron, Arianna, Alaina, Alex, Ariel, Austin, Aubrey, Aleigha, Nicholas, Brees, Parker and the late Amelia and Austin. He served his country in the United States Marine Corp. Jacob was a lifelong resident of Marrero also has been a part of our Enterprising Community with 62 years of continued service. He spent the past 47 years as the Proprietor of Jake’s Seafood Restaurant which was his pride and joy as a family run business. Jacob will be dearly missed by those who loved and knew him. Relatives, Family and Friends are invited to attend the Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 from 9AM until 1:30PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 1:30PM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. Family and friends may offer condolences at mothefunerals.com.
