Melody - My sincerest condolences to you and your family. You and Jack(ie) have been friends of mine since before MHS and I think of you both often. While I didn't interact with Jack professionally, I ran across his name often in the Journal and elsewhere. May his memory be for a blessing (as I'm sure it will).

When I had my first son in 1983 I wasn´t happy with the first pediatrician I went to locally in Gloucester. I heard such great things about Dr Kriteman that I switched over immediately to him. He was wonderful with my two boys. They loved him and are broken hearted as I am over his loss.

It was 1976 and after interviewing three pediatricians it was Dr. Kriteman I connected with and immediately trusted with the care of my first born. As my family grew so did my trust and appreciation for Dr. Kriteman´s continued care and excellent judgement. I remember when we had an appendicitis scare, Dr. Kriteman wheeled my son across the parking lot and handed him over to the surgeon. In my frantic state i was so upset with him for not performing the surgery! He said, "Look at my hands, I am not a surgeon. Trust me that I am handing him over to the best surgeon. " and I did. Years later when my daughter was beginning her family, she also choose Dr. Kriteman to care for her children. Thank you Dr. Kriteman for your kindness, compassion, and the wonderful way of being with your patients.

Made being sick and going to the the Dr. almost enjoyable. I remember him coming over to the hospital just to check on me after I got my tonsils out. Genuinely good person and will be missed.

My two sons were patients of Dr Kriteman´s until they were kicked out for being too old. They never wanted another MD!! As a mom, he was so fatherly and reassuring and made me laugh in tough situations. I have many fond memories! They don´t make MDs like this anymore. Condolences to the family. Please know how much his patients loved Dr Kriteman!

Dr.Kriteman,
Words of wisdom... we have none. Words of thanks, we have many!
Thank you for being old school and for looking at the family as a unit. You celebrated small victories and often posted my children´s accolades in your office. It is solely because of you that my 9 week old was diagnosed with rsv over 20 years ago and my daughter was diagnosed with a chronic illness and both are living healthy lives today. You were a rock and a beautiful caregiver. May your memory live in the lives of many as you have made a huge difference by being a dedicated doctor . May you rest in peace
With sincere sympathy,
Pam Braz and family

Thank you Dr. Kriteman for sharing your dedication, knowledge and great care to countless families and children. I have met many doctors throughout my lifetime and I don't remember them. I have never forgot your name and your expertise. Your name was the first and only name that came to mind when I had my first son. It was a no brainer, when I was asked who my son's pediatrician, I said Dr. Kriteman.
Many thanks to you Dr. Kriteman. May you embrace the love and peace with our heavenly Father who created you and blessed us all with your care that will never be forgotten.

Dr. Kriteman got me through a very difficult time with my first child. My cousin's first child died of SIDS during his 6th week, on the day I learned I was pregnant. In fact, I was on the phone, telling my Aunt I was pregnant when she said "this child is not breathing." Traumatizing, to say the least. He was the most wonderful, patient, supportive Pediatrician we both could have prayed for. Not only was he loving and nurturing, he knew when to be tough. When my Aunt told me that he would drop my child as a patient because of my excessive worrying that entire first 6 weeks, he told me to have her call him so he could give her a piece of his mind! He was ALL about "his" babies and "his" mommies. We loved him so much, my second child, who was Autistic, had to be snuck in the side door to see him well past the date when teens usually graduate out of pediatrics. These are just a very few of the wonderful things you did. We love you, Dr. Kriteman and will never forget EVERYTHING you did for us. You always had a smile, a comforting hand and calming support. Everything we needed. We send you off into the next place with much love and respect. ... And more love, from the Dunlop family. xoxo
