Jacob "Jake" Dan Patterson, beloved son, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2025. Jake was born May 30, 1992, in Morgan County, AL. He worked for Durable Medical Equipment and McAbee Medical as a DME Technician. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Larry John Bates; grandfather, Joe Clyde Patterson and grandmother, Martha Patterson. He is survived by his grandmother, Sarah Jenell Bates; mother, Loronda Lee Sparkman (Glyndon); his father, Roger Dan Patterson (Sandra); brother, Hunter Lee Patterson (Kourtney); two step-brothers, Daniel Sparkman (Summer), Jonathan Sparkman (Kristina); step-sister, Britany Sparks and nephew, Case Lee Patterson.
Jake was saved at the age of 12 years old at Forest Hill Baptist Church in Somerville, AL. He never met a stranger. He loved everyone he came in contact with. Jake was a friend to all without judgement. He just loved people. Jake was always willing to help others, especially the broken and downtrodden. He will be greatly missed by all his family, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. He will be remembered for his humor and kindness.
Pallbearers will be Hunter Patterson, Kyle Johnson, Wesley Smith, Nick Ward, Mikey Mercier and Bruce Tuten.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Peck Funeral Home with Bro. Jack Thomason officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Burial will be at Macedonia at Oden Ridge Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Saint Jude Children's Hospital or American Diabetes Association.
