Judith Patterson 83, known to her friends and colleagues as “Judy,” passed away peacefully Saturday evening, August 2, 2025, after a long illness. Judy graduated from the College of Wooster and was a teacher before receiving her law degree from the University of Pittsburgh. She had a long career as a lawyer representing dependent youth in family court and was passionate about helping those who could not speak for themselves. She is survived by her husband, Paul; children, Meghan, Andrew, and Jennifer, as well as daughter-in-law, Lori; and grandchildren, Avery and Brady.
Family and friends are welcome from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM, on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, 1650 Greentree Rd., Scott Twp., 412-563-2800. Her Celebration of Life service will take place on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at 1:30 PM at Unity Presbyterian Church, 1146 Greentree Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15220.
