Jacob Ross Pluim born March 14, 1989 in Farr West, Utah, passed unexpectedly on November 28th, 2024. He was the first son of Mark and Beverly Pluim.
Jake was the life of the party. He always had a smart aleck comment to everyone. He really enjoyed spending time with his family and his extended family. He always made an effort to be there. He was always known as being the one who could buy a great white elephant gift. Jake loved the holiday season, he would wear the ugliest Christmas sweaters, loved pumpkin pie, and always enjoyed the cheesiest Hallmark Christmas movie he could find.
Growing up, Jake was always busy in something. He would get into mischief with his lifelong friend Blake Dyer. They would play video games, night games, and air soft. He was always difficult to find because he was constantly wearing camo. Growing up, Jake was a huge fan of Batman. One fond memory his family has is a young Jake stating, "me no Jake, me bat." Jake looked up to his father and with that influence learned hard work and eventually earned his Eagle Scout award.
Jake was loved by his family and will be greatly missed. He was a great son, grandson, brother, brother-in-law, and uncle to his nieces and nephew. Jake was preceded in death by his father, Mark Pluim. Jake is survived by his mother, Beverly Pluim, his siblings; Amanda (Tegan) Moore, Katie (Robbie) Hancock, David Pluim, and his extended family who all love him.
The family wants to express appreciation to everyone who has shown their love and support during this hard time.
There will be a viewing on Saturday, December 14th, at Myers Mortuary (845 Washington Blvd,
Ogden, UT 84404) from 3pm to 5pm.
