Jacob Riechers Obituary

Born August 14, 1995, at South Suburban Hospital in Hazel Crest, IL

Survived by: Parents - Michael R. Riechers and Julie J.(Jaeger) Riechers. Grandparents - Richard and Beverly Riechers, and Jeannine Jaeger. Siblings - Nicole (Riechers) Wokurka and her husband Nate Wokurka, and Kevin Durnavich. Aunts and Uncles - Brent Riechers, Dean Riechers, Jennifer (Jaeger) Bowman, Jeff Jaeger, Jimmy Jaeger. Great-Grandmother - Dorothy Riechers. Preceded in death - Jim Jaeger.

Baptized at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Grant Park, IL on September 17, 1995. Brent Riechers, Tammy Riechers, and Pam Lentes were his Sponsors. His Bible verse was John 6:51 - I am the living bread that came down from Heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give, for the life of the World is my flesh.

Confirmed at St. Paul's on April 5, 2009, by Pastor Schmidt.

- He was involved in sports and will be remembered for being an excellent pitcher in baseball. In 2008 he received the Fritz-Heusing Mr. Hustle Award from Grant Park Youth Baseball honoring his excellence. Jacob also was the golf medalist in many High School golf matches.

Jacob will also be remembered for his Crypto currency knowledge and investing.

Jacob loved his 2 dogs Zoey and AVA and cared for them daily.

He will be remembered for being a loving, caring person with a smile and a heart bigger than his body and mind could hold. Jacob had many friends that loved him dearly.

Passed away on February 6, 2025. He was 29 years old.

Wake to be held at Hack-Jensen Funeral Home in Beecher, IL on Thursday, February 13, 2025, from 2pm until 6pm, with a funeral service to follow at the funeral home.

In Lieu of flowers make memorials to the Family.
