Jacob Edward Roller

Jacob Edward Roller was born on May 18, 1984, in Blue Hill, Maine, and left this world on November 1, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. He was a devoted son, father, fiancé, and friend whose adventurous spirit and kind heart touched the lives of all who knew him.

Growing up in a military family, Jacob's early life was filled with excitement and exploration, as he lived in various places including Maine, Virginia, Spain, and Hawaii. He graduated from high school in Lawrence, Kansas, before pursuing an accounting degree at the University of Kansas. His professional journey led him to work in accounting and management roles across Kansas and Texas, where he built lasting relationships and made a significant impact on his colleagues.

A passionate sports enthusiast, Jacob was an unwavering supporter of the KU Jayhawks, Kansas City Chiefs, and Kansas City Royals. His bright blue eyes and infectious smile could light up any room, and his quick wit brought joy and laughter to those around him. Jacob had a deep appreciation for the outdoors; he loved hiking, staying active, and spending quality time with his four beloved dogs. His childlike spirit and playful nature earned him the affectionate nickname "Moose," a testament to his larger-than-life personality and protective instinct toward his loved ones.

Jacob is survived by his fiancé, Stacie Caraway of Denison, Texas; his father, James, and stepmother, Lorrie, of Hawaii; his cherished daughter, Azalea "Kai," of Lawrence, Kansas; nephew Kailer, niece Mikayla, Ashley Beck and family, a close-knit extended family, including aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carol, and his brother, Daniel.

Jacob will be laid to rest at the Roller Family Cemetery in Fairfield, Illinois. In this time of reflection, we find solace in the words of 1 Peter 1:3: "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy, he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead." Jacob's legacy of love and laughter will forever resonate in our hearts, reminding us of the joy he brought into our lives.
