JACOB JOSEPH SKOLARUS, 48 of Aldie, Virginia passed on Thursday, September 18, 2025. Born on October 15, 1976, at Columbus AFB, Mississippi, he was the son of David and Melinda Skolarus. Jake leaves many to cherish his memory, including his beloved wife of 21 years, Becky Skolarus, sons Ian and Noah Skolarus, sister Jamie Skolarus, "brothers" Jacob Lindsay and Tyler Perez-Daple, "sister" Erin Campbell, as well as his TDC family. A veteran of the US Air Force and a life-long Cubs and Cowboys fan, Jake lived his life as someone who was grateful to be here in the first place. He simply wanted to do what he could to make the world that much better and to inspire others to do the same. The family will receive friends for visitation from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Arcola United Methodist Church, 24757 Evergreen Mills Road, Arcola, Virginia. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 3:00 PM with the Rev. Chris Riedel officiating. The service will be livestreamed at www.arcolachurch.org. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jake's honor to the American Cancer Society, the Wounded Warrior Project, and the Gary Sinise Foundation. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.loudounfuneralchapel.com
