Jacob Wiseman Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Laughlin Service Funeral Home & Crematory - Huntsville on Feb. 26, 2026.
Jacob Howard Wiseman passed away on February 19, 2026, at the age of 41. Jacob is survived by his beloved son, Thaddeus Wiseman; his brother, Michael Wiseman; his father, Chris Wiseman; his mother, Krysti Bush; and his life partner, Kileigh Carson.
Jacob was a devoted and dedicated father above all else. His son Thaddeus was the center of his world, and he took great pride in being there for his son in every way he could. Whether it was chaperoning field trips, trips to the beach and Lego Land, hanging out with Uncle Mike, visiting his school to have lunch with him, playing hot wheels and dinosaurs in the living room, or going to arcades, playgrounds, and indoor play places around town, spending quality time with Thaddeus was paramount. Jacob had a special way of combining compassionate parenting with educating, teaching, and explaining life to his son to help him develop the intelligence, kindness, and strong character he will carry with him the rest of his life.
Jacob was also a loving and loyal brother, partner, and friend. The bond with his brother Mike was unparallelled; they were each other's constant source of understanding, support and encouragement. Jacob's beloved partner, Kileigh, was the light of his life, his moon, his stars, and his sunshine. He always spoke of how her love inspired him to be a better man. Quick to lend a hand, show up when needed, and shoot the breeze, Jacob was more than just a friend- he was a brother in recovery who inspired those around him with his strength and determination.
Jacob was deeply involved in the recovery community, where he dedicated much of his time to helping others find hope and healing. Through AIR Group of Narcotics Anonymous, he found meaning in sharing his story, helping newcomers, and being of service to the still sick and suffering addict. Jacob believed that helping improve the lives of those around him was the key to improving his own, and he lived that belief daily through service, encouragement, understanding, and adding some sarcastic humor to make someone smile.
A licensed home builder and remodeler in Alabama, Jacob was the proud owner of Madison Pro Services LLC. Within a year of opening in Madison, Jacob established a 5-star bathroom remodeling company. He consistently strived to be the best in the industry, becoming the first Certified Tile Installer in the state of Alabama, known for his quality craftsmanship, integrity, and professionalism. A few of his accolades include being featured in the January 2025 issue of TileLetter Magazine, being among the handful of tile installers granted acceptance into attending Artisans Revolution in Tile mosaics class and being involved with the state of Alabama apprenticeship program. He worked hard, took pride in doing things the right way, always seeking to grow professionally – building trust and relationships along the way.
Jacob was also an automotive enthusiast who found joy in repairing and maintaining his vehicles. He dreamed of racing and building hot rods, and he had a special appreciation for Toyotas and vintage Ford vans. Music was another great passion in his life. He loved attending concerts and events, meeting inspiring artists, and supporting the music industry that brought him so much joy. Jacob was a loyal fan and supporter of underground hip-hop and not a day went by without him banging Atmosphere in his truck.
Jacob also valued strength – both physical and mental. He loved working out and, last fall, competed in his first Spartan Super 10k, an obstacle course/trail run. It was an accomplishment he was proud of and a true reflection of his perseverance. His favorite poem was "If" by Rudyard Kipling, especially its message about risking everything, starting over without complaint, and pushing yourself forward when nothing remains but will. To him, the poem defined "a real man" and he sought to embody its description and pass that along to his son.
Jacob will be remembered for his generous spirit, his dedication to those he loved, especially Thaddeus, and his desire to make a difference in the lives of others. He lived boldly and believed in embracing life fully, often quoting "Buy the ticket, take the ride." He leaves behind a legacy of service, resilience, and love that will continue through the many people who were fortunate enough to know him.
A celebration of Jacob's life will be held on Sunday, March 1, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the VFW at 2900 North Memorial Parkway.
Jacob's family is now facing the difficult task of handling his final arrangements and the legal responsibilities that come with settling his estate. The funds raised here will go directly toward cremation expenses and the legal fees required to dissolve his estate. These are immediate costs that his brother and loved ones are unable to cover until probate is settled, making this support crucial in their time of need.
