Jacqueline Elaine Billone
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend
Jacqueline Elaine Billone passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous 13-year battle with lung cancer. Her strength, humor, and kindness touched everyone who knew her.
Jacqueline was the devoted wife of Joseph Billone, and the proud mother of Michelle (Jeffrey) Smigielski, Joseph (Tiffany) Billone, and Nicholas (Michelle) Billone. She was the cherished grandmother of Andrew and Cooper Smigielski, Taylor, Rylie, Avery, and Cole Billone, each of whom brought her so much joy.
She is also survived by her sister-in-law Fran (Tony) Prasnikar and their children, Mary Allen and Angela Gremley. Jacqueline was preceded in death by her parents, Edna and Charles Keefer, and her siblings, Donna Fazzari and Jim Thorpe.
For more than 34 years, Jacqueline worked at Jewel in Orland Park, where she became a familiar and friendly face to countless customers. Whether helping someone at the service desk or sharing a quick laugh, she made everyone feel seen and valued. Her strong-willed spirit and genuine care for others left a lasting impression on all who met her.
Jacqueline met the love of her life, Joseph, by striking up a casual conversation at Park Foods in Marquette Park, a small moment that blossomed into a lifetime of love and partnership. She poured her heart into raising their children, creating a warm and loving home filled with laughter, stories, and the smell of coffee always brewing.
She especially treasured her role as mother and grandmother. Nothing made her happier than hearing about her grandchildren's lives, cheering them on, and being part of their everyday moments.
Jacqueline will be remembered for her perseverance, her nurturing heart, and the way she brightened the lives of everyone around her.
