Jacqueline Marie (Delaney) Burchi, 89, of
Greeley, Colorado, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2026. Born on August 18, 1936, in
Key West, Florida, Jacqueline was the daughter of John Curry Delaney and Anna Rosa (Duval) Delaney.
Jacqueline began working at just 14 at a small sandwich shop down the street from her family home in Key West, later spending several years in specialty shops throughout the island before joining her father and uncle at the Navy Yard, where her strong work ethic truly blossomed. She soon transferred to the accounting department at Boca Chica Naval Air Station, where she met the love of her life. On April 20, 1958, at the age of 21, Jacqueline married the love of her life, Ramon Burchi, in
Key West, Florida and started a new chapter that took them first to Michigan and then to Colorado in 1968. Together they shared 63 devoted years of marriage and raised three children. Their son John was born on September 10, 1961, in Michigan, followed by their son Patrick on August 11, 1963, in Michigan, and their daughter Julie Anne on February 9, 1965. In Colorado, she continued her dedicated career, first with Sears & Roebuck operating the teletype machine to process customer orders, and eventually with Xcel Energy in the billing department, where she faithfully served until her retirement.
Family and faith were the center of Jacqueline's life, and she took great pride and joy in being a wife, mother, a grandmother and later a great grandmother.
Jacqueline experienced both great love and profound loss over the course of her long life. Her father, John Curry Delaney, passed away on January 9, 1962, at the age of 50, and her mother, Anna Rosa (Duval) Delaney, passed away on May 21, 1998, in St. Petersburg, Florida, at the age of 91. Her beloved husband, Ramon, preceded her in death on September 19, 2021, in
Greeley, Colorado, at the age of 86.
Jacqueline is survived by her sister, Claudette (Delaney) Lowe; her three children, John Burchi, Patrick Burchi, and Julie (Larry) Wilson; also her grandchildren, Brock Burchi, Myndee (Miguel) DeLeon, Kaelyn LaCroix, Chelsea Burchi, Tara Kemp, Delta (Will) Watson, Carter Burchi, Amanda Wilson, Matthew (Gabrielle) Wilson; and 13 great grandchildren with her 14th due in October. They will all remember her for her strength, warmth, family and unwavering dedication to her faith. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
