Jacqueline Breedlove Clement of Victoria, Virginia passed from this earth and joined the heavenly choir with her beautiful soprano voice on January 4, 2026. She was 96 years old.
She is survived by her four children, Diane C. Clark, Robert E. Clement (Diana), Gail C. Berkley, and Shelia C. Amos. She was predeceased by her husband, John R. Clement, and by her parents, A. W. Breedlove and Estelle O. Breedlove.
Jackie lived in Victoria, Virginia, nearly all of her life, devoting herself to her family and her church. Her beautiful voice contributed greatly to the Victoria Baptist Church choir for decades, often providing stirring solos. She taught Sunday school classes for decades as well, and was one of the first female deacons elected to serve the church.
Her employment history included among other things, secretary and bookkeeper for the Lunenburg Health Service, and tax preparer for hundreds of local individuals and bookkeeper for many local businesses. She also was a driving force and tireless worker behind her family’s Breedlove’s Apple Orchard.
She was one of the organizers of the Victoria High School Preservation Association, co-chairman of the 100th anniversary of the Town of Victoria celebration, and treasurer for the Lunenburg County Historical Society for 19 years.
In addition to her children, Jackie is also survived by seven grandchildren: Jennifer Clark, Nicole Clark, Vicki C. Keeter (Jacob), Chad Berkley (Pamela), Hunter Berkley (Jordan), Justin Clement (Samantha), and Luke Clement, (Trey), as well as nine great grandchildren: Aurora Adair and Clark Keeter, Cohen and Logan Berkley, Cassidy, McKenzie, and Nathaniel Berkley, and Kaytlin and Kaleb Clement.
The family expresses its deepest gratitude to the sta of Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Blackstone for their loving care and service to Jackie. A praise service to the glory of God and his son Jesus Christ will be conducted at the Victoria Baptist Church on Wednesday, January 7, at 2:00 p.m. The family will be available at the church for greeting by the public starting at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at the Lakeside Cemetery in Victoria.
