I am saddened to learn of Jackie´s passing. Jackie and I were in high school together. While we were in different "crowds," I remember her as a vivacious, outgoing, and kind classmate. Over the years I have thought back fondly of her. I wish blessings on Jackie and her family.

I met Jackie 40 years ago at a Mom and child gym class at the YWCA. She was very pregnant with Shannon but took the time and energy to give Courtney this outlet. Courtney and my Daughter, Kristin continued to meet at various events. Together Jackie and I spent many hours at Merritts dance studio and became friends. Jackie and I surprised each other by becoming pregnant with out sons at about the same time. We shared experiences throughout our children's school years and the ended up working together at Niskayuna High School for many years. After retirement we continued a close friendship having many friends in common. Jackie and I and friend Sue had lunch together 2 weeks before Jackie passed. She and I were texting the morning she died.
I can hear her laughter and remember how she always tried to put a positive spin on what ever the situation was. I will greatly miss my friend.

Jackie and I became close friends when we were only 14 years old. We remained very close, three of us, including our friend Diane, (Jackie´s friend from St. Adalberts) throughput our years at Notre Dame and college. We grew up surrounded by the love of the Jahoda, Dvorscak and Kochanuski families. We were like sisters. The early years of raising our kids kept us together, but as they grew, we began to drift apart. A lunch here and a dinner there took us back to our strong place and reaffirmed our love for each other. Jackie and I reconnected in the past 3 years when we discovered our mothers were together at Glendale nursing home. We picked up right where we left off, as if no time had passed at all. I will miss my dear friend. I mourn her passing.
