Jacqueline Cooley

Christmas Day, 1966 found a baby girl born to the late Mr. Bobby Lee Dean and Bobbie Jean Cooley, who would be named Jacqueline.

As a person, Jacqueline kept it live. She was about all things jovial and essentially a fun person to be around. She was well known and a sweetheart. She didn't like to cook, but she definitely liked to eat. Chitterlings, pig's feet, pig ears and hamburgers were some of her favorite foods.

Jacqueline liked to dance, and music was one of her pleasures. Her all time favorite song had to be Blackstreet's "Before I Let You Go." Mel Waiters was her favorite Southern Blues artist.

During the afternoon of December 28, 2025, an action packed life came to a close when Jacqueline was called to her eternal home.

Her fun memories are left to be cherished with her children: Lakitta Cooley, Tavarius Cooley, and Chirino Everett all of Shubuta, MS, twins Lisa and Lance Barley of Virginia, one grandson, and her siblings: Lenora Carter, Cecil Leggett, Sr., and Freddie Leggett of Shubuta, MS; Rebecca Cooley and Bobby Dean of Albany, NY, Marilyn Cooley of Wayne County, MS, and Patsy Dean of Waynesboro, MS, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Bethlehem MB Church in Shubuta, with Pastor Terry Jones as the officiant. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Her viewing period will take place Saturday, January 10, 2026 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the church.
