Jacqueline Joyce Harley affectively know as Ms. Jackie entered into eternal rest on June 7, 2024, in Coatesville, Pennsylvania.
Joyce Harley was born to the late Bernice Joan Harley and the late Charlie Harley on February 4, 1948, in Mullins, South Carolina. Joyce was raised by her maternal Grandparents the late Alton and Stacie Campbell whom instilled in her Christian values that would guide her well into her adult years. Joyce committed her life to Christ at an early age, as she was baptized at Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church of Mullins. Jacqueline was educated in Marion County School System, graduating from Palmetto High School in 1965. She later attended Morris College in Sumter SC, afterwards accepting a position within Marion County School System as an Assistant Teacher. Joyce worked in the Atlantic City Traffic Court System in New Jersey, as a Court Coordinator. There she acquired a stellar reputation for helping people avoid jail time and reducing their monetary fines. Ms. Jackie took early retirement from the New Jersey Court System.
Jacqueline married the late Wilbert Bernard Parrish in 1969, from this union came three children Wilbert III, Max Julian and Nicole Parrish.
Joyce's greatest pride were her children and grandchildren, and she spent much of her time and energy ensuring they were on the right path and under God's umbrella.
Jacqueline leaves to cherish her fond memories her sons Charles Andre Harley (Yolanda) of Pennsylvania, Wilbert Parrish of New Jersey, Max Julian Parrish of Mullins, SC, and daughter Nicole Parrish of New York. Brothers Thomas Walker (Helen) of Maryland, Michael Walker (Marie) of Florida and sister Stacy Harley of Baltimore. Cousins, Clyton Campbell of Maryland, and Ernest Brown (Peggy) of North Carolina. Special consideration to her Granddaughter Aaliyah Parrish, whom Joyce raised and whom faithfully cared for her grandmother; six grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Also, left to morn her is a life-long girlfriend Brenda Armstrong (Clark) of South Carolina. Additionally, her long-time companion Joseph Phillips of Coatesville, PA.
Per Jacqueline's wishes she will be cremated. A private memorial service will be conducted in Coatesville, Pennsylvania.
