Legrand Davis Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Troy's Funeral Home - Mullins on Dec. 15, 2025.
There is no fear in perfect love but perfect love casteth our fear; because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

On Monday morning December 15, 2925, God called Legrand Davis Jr. home.

Legrand was born May 14, 1949, to the late Addie Bell Phillips Davis and Legrand Davis Sr., and was reared by his grandmother Clara (Howey) Davis in Marion County, SC. He attended the schools in Mullins, SC.

He leaves to mourn his loss, yet to celebrate his home going his children: Legrand Davis, Brent Davis, Tara Davis-Johnson, Tyrone Williams, Kimberly Davis and a host of grandchildren. His sisters Agnes Hughes and Grace Platt of Mullins, SC; brothers Henry Davis, Franklin Davis and Clarence Davis all of Mullins, SC. Gary Lee (Rose) Graves of Fayetteville, NC. One Aunt Sarah Phillips of Nichols, SC, five siblings preceded him in death. Host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

We had no idea Monday morning that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly; in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone. For part of us went with you. The day God called you home you left us special memories. Your love is still our guide, and though we can't see you, you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken and nothing will be the same, but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.
