Jacqueline L. Hattar

Jacqueline L. Hattar (nee Carroll) entered eternal life on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at the age of 84. Loving wife of Frederick for 45 years. Cherished mother of Steven (Maheen) Carroll. Dearest grandmother of Mahnaz Carroll. Dear sister of Roslyn Dewar. Aunt to many nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and nephews. Jaqueline was preceded in death by her parents John and Freda Dewar, and her brothers; John, Harry, and Arthur Dewar. Jacqueline was a dedicated security administrator and executive secretary to the chief of surgery, retiring from Sinai-Grace Hospital after 36 years of service. She was known to be an exceptional entertainer, baker and cook who loved the holidays. She adored her dogs Bella, Molly, and Candy. Jacqueline will be deeply missed by many loving family and friends. Visitation for Jacqueline will take place on Friday, April 14, 2023 from 1:30-8:30 p.m. at the Allen Park Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes located at 10915 Allen Road, 48101. There will be a scripture service held at 6 p.m. at the funeral home that evening. The Mass of Resurrection will be held the following day, Saturday, April 15, 2023 at St. Frances Cabrini Church located at 9000 Laurence Ave., Allen Park, 48101. Instate will start at 9:30 a.m. and the Mass will begin at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Hope Cemetery located in Brownstown Twp., Michigan. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or the Michigan Humane Society in Jacqueline's honor.
