Jacqueline "Jacki" M. Dreas, a beloved educator and cherished family member, passed away on September 13, 2025, at the age of 68. Born on October 5, 1956, Jackie dedicated her life to teaching, making a significant impact on young lives as a special education, pre-K, and Christian education teacher. She was a proud graduate of Eastern University, where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in education.
Jackie's nurturing spirit extended beyond the classroom; she was known for her outgoing personality and willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. A deeply religious person, she embodied kindness and compassion, ensuring that others felt valued and cared for. In addition to her work as an educator, Jackie found joy in various hobbies, including gardening, sewing, and making clothes, often creating care packages for those less fortunate.
Jackie and her husband, David Dreas, shared a profound bond of love and devotion for an enduring 45 years. It is said that Jackie knew three years prior to their marriage that David was the one she would spend her life with. Together, they built a beautiful life, surrounded by family and friends who cherished them.
She is survived by her loving husband, David Dreas; her brother Richard (Irene) Knowles; her sister Debbie Schiffer; and her brothers Steven and Howard Knowles. Jackie leaves behind a legacy of love in her many nephews, including Gary (Adrianne) Schiffer, Don (Sarah) Schiffer, and Michael Knowles, as well as her nieces, Susan (Cody) Jessen, Jessica (Brett) Glazier, and Bridget (Issac) Sunkes, along with several great nephews and nieces.
Jackie was preceded in death by her father, Donald Knowles Sr., her mother, Mary Jane Iannettone, and her brother, Donald Knowles Jr.
The memory of Jacqueline "Jacki" M. Dreas will live on through the countless lives she touched as an educator, a friend, and a devoted family member.
