Jacqueline "Jacque" Jenkins

Jacqueline "Jacque" Jenkins, 71, a beloved member of the Memphis community, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. Her life was a vibrant tapestry woven with music, flowers, compassion, and service.
She had a deep love for music and found joy in arranging flowers for friends and family, especially during special events. Her creativity also blossomed in her garden and through her handcrafted jewelry, which she made with care and love.
A tireless advocate for her community, she served on numerous committees and nonprofit organizations. Her dedication included 20 years with Friends of the Library, service on the Alzheimer's and Dementia Board, and active involvement with the Memphis Police Ambassadors – Raines Station. She also founded Girl Shine, a mentorship program at a high school in Whitehaven that empowered young girls to grow with confidence and purpose.
Her generosity knew no bounds-she was always ready to lend a hand, offer a kind word, or simply be there for someone in need. Her warmth and selflessness touched countless lives.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of over 40 years, William Perry Jenkins. She is survived by her brother, Russell Duvall (Lisa) of Lakeland, TN; her sister by heart, Willa Davis of Memphis, TN; her sister, Jamie Matthews of Whiteville, TN; brothers-in-law, Dennis Jenkins (Juanita) and Bobby Jenkins (Katie), both of Bells, TN; nieces Cheryl White (Kelly) of Southaven, MS, Lisa Smith (Terry), Kelly Mayo, Kasey Smith (Keith), Amy Jenkins, and Allison Jenkins, all of Bells, TN; five great nieces; and five great nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until her Memorial Service begins at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 9th at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery. This gesture reflects her lifelong devotion to learning, literature, and community enrichment. Her legacy of love, service, and creativity will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
