Jacqueline Rae “Jackie” Klein, 85, of Fargo, ND, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Sanford Health Hospital, Fargo, ND.
Jackie was born on October 2, 1940, in Moorhead, MN, to Bert and Harriet (Kotte) Johnson. She grew up in Moorhead, MN, where she attended and graduated from Moorhead High School. She attended Concordia College in Moorhead for a brief time. She was united in marriage to LeRoy Klein on April 7, 1962, in Moorhead, MN.
She began working first for a local bank and at Herbst, before starting as an Administrative Assistant at a law firm now known as Vogel Law. She accumulated nearly 40 years before her retirement in 2005.
Jackie loved to knit for silent auctions at the YWCA. She enjoyed reading mysteries and watching her tv shows, especially police investigations series such as Blue Bloods and Law and Order. She also loved doing puzzles and could often be found doing a crossword puzzle and never missed a daily New York Times crossword puzzle. She also played solitaire on the computer and other Microsoft puzzles. She enjoyed going out to lunch with her close friend group and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Jackie is survived by her two sons, Terry (Joan) Klein and Gary Klein; grandchildren, Brennan Klein and Katelyn (Tanner) Copeland; great-grandchildren, Knox and Wesson Copeland; sister, Julie Peterson; and many other loving relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, LeRoy; parents, Bert and Harriet; brother, Curtis Johnson; and brother-in-law, Jerry Peterson.
Visitation will be from noon to 1:00 P.M., followed by the memorial service at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Moorhead, MN. Final resting place will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo, ND, following the services in Moorhead.
