Jacqueline Martin Obituary

Jacqueline "Jackie" Martin, 89, of Reynoldsville, was called Home by her Heavenly Father on October 2, 2025.

She passed on the Catholic day labeled, "The Memorial of the Holy Guardian Angels." That provided some comfort knowing she didn't walk the last mile alone. She was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Martin, to whom she provided care at the home for seventeen years following a devastating stroke.

Also preceding were her parents, Louis and Clara Notto Sr., her sister, Louise "Bucky" Cribbs, and brother Louis "Sonny" Notto Jr., and infant sister.

She is survived by her sister, Angeline Domitrovich, her brother, Sandy (Carol) Notto, and her sister- in- law, Greta Notto, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Sutter, and son-in-law, Larry Sutter, her grandchildren, Jacob Sutter, Kate Sutter, and Henry Sutter.

She was grateful to have lived long enough to see her grandchildren graduate college and begin their adult lives. She was very proud of their accomplishments. She asked every day if there was anything she could do to help. She resided most of her life in Wishaw with her brothers' homes to her left and right, her dearest friend a short walk across the yard, and her sister just down the road. Family meant everything to Jackie. She wanted to express gratitude for every morning phone call and to those who visited and sent cards. It meant so very much to her. Jackie was often seen buzzing around in her little red Ford, which earned her numerous speeding tickets. She was given the nickname, "Fast Grandma." You can only imagine the conversation that took place when we took her keys. Jackie was happiest when helping others. She was funny and feisty. Whenever we are gathered, there is always a story… "Do you remember the time Jackie did this or that?"

In lieu of flowers, Jackie requested that donations in her memory be made to the Activities Team at Christ the King Manor. The team at the facility works diligently to enrich the remaining days of their residents' lives. Just last week, she went on a bus trip to see the Elk and the fall leaves.

At Jackie's request, there will be no public visitation. She asked that family and friends come together for Mass on Monday, October 6, 2025, at 1 p.m. at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 607 E. Main St., Reynoldsville, PA 15851. The family also would like to invite everyone to join them for a lunch immediately following the service in the social hall at the church.

Services have been entrusted to the Snyder – d'Argy Funeral Home, 206 E. Main St., Reynoldsville, PA, 15851. Online condolences and other information may be found by visiting www.dargyfh.com.
