Mrs. Jacqueline Rushton, age 76, recently of White Bluff, TN, passed away, Monday, April 22, 2024. Jacqueline was born in Jackson, TN, on October 26, 1947, to Jasper Jefferson Stewart and Bertha Lilian Turner Stewart. Jackie graduated from Waverly Central High School in 1965 and attended Belmont University. She was the purchasing and traffic supervisor at Inland Container and retired after 30 years. She volunteered at Tri Star Horizon Hospital in Dickson, TN for many years. Jackie attended the Methodist Church in Waverly, TN, and Shiloh Methodist Church in Camden, TN.
Left to cherish her memory is her sister Betty J. Stewart of Nashville, TN. Step daughter Shirley Link of Waverly, TN; step-granddaughter Rebecca Link Little; step- great grandson, Link Little, Sisters-in-law Dorothy Stewart of Waverly, TN and Martha Stewart of Nashville, TN; Nieces and nephews: Phillip Featherstone (Larisa) Franklin, TN; Mindy Boyd (Troy McCord) White Bluff, TN; Steven Stewart (Debra) New Johnsonville, TN; Russell Stewart (Brenda) Camden TN; Susan Stewart Decatur, AL; Lesia Marshall (Ron) Nashville, TN; Bethany Brown (Bob); Tracy Bibby (Paul) Nashville, TN; Charlotte Hethcoat (Alton) Franklin, TN; Jeffrey Stewart Nashville TN; First cousin Marie Slagle (Bruce) White Bluff, TN; and many great and great great nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Mrs. Jackie Stewart Rushton will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024, from 4 PM to 6 PM and on Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 10 AM until the service time beginning at 11 AM, at Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly. Interment will be at the Jones Mayberry Owens Cemetery.
Along with her parents, She is preceded in death by her first husband, Miller Bass; second husband Larry Rushton; 4 siblings, Calvin Stewart, Charles Stewart, Pete Stewart, and Bernice Pinkley; sister-in-law Wilma Stewart; 3 nephews, Paul Sanford, Craig Stewart and great nephew Jesse Robinson, niece Theresa Tomlinson.
In Leiu of flowers the family requested that charitable donations be made to AG in the classroom, https://tnfarmbureau.org/altcdonation, or donate to a church or charity of your choice in memory of Mrs. Jackie.
