Jacqueline Irene Leake Utter, 81, of Roebuck, SC peacefully passed away on February 8, 2026. Born on January 17, 1945, in Jacksonville, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Louise Leake.
A long-time member of River Hills Baptist Church, Jacqueline found joy in her church community, especially within her Sunday School class, the "Willing Workers." Her commitment to her faith played a central role in her life, guiding her actions and supporting her relationships.
Jacqueline had a passion for sewing, often sharing her talents and crafts with others around her. She enjoyed creating beautiful pieces that brought warmth and comfort to those she loved. Jacqueline was also an avid sports fan, proudly cheering for her Clemson Tigers and Atlanta Braves.
Jacqueline is survived by her children: Scott Utter and his wife, Tina; Michael Utter; and Jeffrey Utter and his wife, Malinda. She also had the joy of being a grandmother to Brittany and her husband, Kevin; Haylee; Jessica; and Kendale. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren, Brayden and Wyatt. Jacqueline is also survived by her brother, Leslie Leake of Prattville, AL, and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Dale Utter.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM, Friday, February 13, 2026, Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E Main St, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
A funeral service will follow at the chapel at 11:00 AM, concluding with her burial at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood Glendale Rd, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Kent Smith and Rev. Rex Keaton.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Children’s Ministry at River Hills Baptist Church.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel.
