Jacquelyn "Jackie" was born on February 11, 1929, in Minneapolis, MN, to the late Harry and Edna Studer. She grew up in St. Cloud, MN, where she attended school and later graduated from St. Cloud State University. Jackie was united in marriage to her high school classmate and lifelong partner, Charles "Chuck" Bohlig, on June 3, 1950, at St. Augustine's Catholic Church in St. Cloud, MN. They shared 66 wonderful years of marriage together. Jackie and Chuck loved to dance and listen to big band music-often the first to take the dance floor and the last to leave it. Following their marriage, Jackie taught country school for five years while raising their children. She was deeply involved in her children's activities, co-leading Bluebirds, Campfire, and Cub Scouts. In 1964, she was honored with the Distinguished Service Award from the Mrs. J.C.'s for her dedication to community service. An active member of the St. Gabriel's Hospital Auxiliary, Jackie chaired one of the most successful hospital auxiliary balls and faithfully led the blood bank for many years. Her service reflected her caring spirit and desire to make a difference in her community. Jackie and Chuck owned and operated Valet Cleaners in Little Falls for many years. After selling the business, she continued her work as a paraprofessional with District 482 for 17 years, where she enjoyed helping students and supporting teachers. Family was the heart of Jackie's life. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished time spent with her loved ones. She especially enjoyed family gatherings, annual trips, and fishing adventures in Canada. Jackie and Chuck also loved traveling together, taking memorable trips to Europe, Hawaii, and their winter destination in Arizona. In her quiet moments, Jackie found joy in reading and tackling crossword puzzles-her favorite pastime. Her kindness, sense of humor, and dedication to her family and community will be forever remembered.
Jackie is survived by children, Richard Bohlig of Sauk Rapids, MN, John (Mary) Bohlig of Rosemount, MN, Cindy (Mike) Howard of Grantsville, UT, Mary (Kathy) Bohlig of Salt Lake City, UT, Charles (Jen) Bohlig of Orinda, CA, and Kathy Lawliss of Salt Lake City, UT; grandchildren, Michelle (Russ) Bray of Rosemount, MN, Bryan (Kelsey) Bohlig of Farmington, MN, Jackson Bohlig and Samantha Bohlig of Orinda, CA; great-grandchildren, Mackenna and Conner Bray, Sawyer, Hadley and Dawson Bohlig.
