LIMA -- Jacquelyn "Jackie" M. Hunt, age 92, passed away on October 27, 2025, at 10:10 am, at the Lima Convalescent Home, surrounded by her loving family. Jackie was born on February 11, 1933, in Swissvale, PA, to Frederick J. "Jack" and Mildred K. (Logan) LeProwse, who preceded her in death. On September 27, 1952, she married Frank O. Hunt, who preceded her in death on June 16, 2022.
Jackie is survived by her children: Christine (David) Rodabaugh of Aiken, SC, Diane Hunt Roberts of San Luis Obispo, CA, David Hunt of Baltimore, OH, Richard Hunt of Columbus, OH, Brian Hunt of Columbus, OH, Bob (Julie) Hunt of Hilliard, OH, her grandchildren: Katie (Wes) Campbell of Lima, OH, Ashley Rodabaugh of San Francisco, CA, Alex (Andy Kuncl) Rodabaugh of Brooklyn, NY, Cordelia (Ashkan) Yazdansepas of San Luis Obispo, CA, Jordan Roberts of Boston, MA, Amber Hunt of Columbus, OH and Melinda (Rob Howe) Hunt of Cincinnati, OH, great grandchildren: Tristan Campbell and Brennan Campbell both of Lima, OH. She was preceded in death by a son in-law, Ronald William Roberts.
Jackie was a 1951 graduate of St. Gerard High School. She spent most of her life as a homemaker and raising her family. Once her children were older, she worked as an administrative assistant with St. Gerard School for 15 years, retiring in 1993. Jackie was a lifelong member of St. Gerard Catholic Church.
She was also a member of the Mothers of Twins Club and, in later years, was a member of the Dominos Club. Jackie loved to create silk flower arrangements, and she enjoyed playing games and cards, and was known to be very competitive. She was an avid Cleveland Guardians and Ohio State Buckeyes fan and a voracious reader. Above all else, she loved spending time with her family, and especially loved the fond memories of time spent at Marble Lake in Michigan.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 10:00 am at St. Gerard Catholic Church. Officiating the Mass will be Fr. Mike Sergie. Burial will be in Gethsemani Cemetery following the service.
Friends may visit on Friday from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Shawnee Chapel, where a parish wake service will follow at 8:00 pm.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
