Jacquelyn Marie Spencer, 64, passed away peacefully in Southaven, MS, on Thursday, May 16, 2024. No services are planned at this time. Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven (626 Star Landing Road East, Southaven, MS 38672) is in charge of arrangements.
From the moment she entered this world, Jacquelyn exuded an astonishingly loving and nurturing spirit. Her heart overflowed with compassion, particularly towards animals, whom she welcomed into her life with open arms. Jacquelyn's home became a sanctuary for any stray cat that crossed her path, a testament to her boundless empathy and kindness.
Beyond her devotion to furry friends, Jacquelyn shared a special bond with her mother, embarking on countless adventures together. They delighted in the thrill of bargain hunting, scouring estate sales and garage sales for hidden treasures. Their shared love for the hunt brought them closer, creating cherished memories that will forever be treasured.
Jacquelyn leaves behind her beloved mother, Marie West Nix of Horn Lake, MS; her brother, Glenn (Rhonda) Nix of Horn Lake; her stepson, Phillip Spencer of Tennessee and many friends to cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Spencer; and her father, Kelly Nix.

DonRuss 1981. Jackie became like family. To know her is to love her. She had a big heart, and was the most giving soul on this planet. She helped me with the hardest time in life, after the death of my mommy. She showed up and was there for me like no other. She helped with my wedding day so much she wore my wedding shoes home. I love you Jackie!!! Ain´t no one better than us! We laughed together so hard I lost my breath and my face hurt. Jackie had a gift. Jackie never thought about herself, she never knew how greatly she made a difference. She had a way to cheer, laugh, and live. She taught me how to make chicken pot pie among other recipes. You will be missed! I am devastated is an understatement. Always in my heart, gone too soon. Heaven just got better since u arrived, feel no pain, save me a spot!
