Jacquiline Domer Obituary

Published by Legacy on Feb. 6, 2026.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jacquiline "Jacqui" Domer, who left this world peacefully on Thursday, January 29, 2026.

Born in Youngstown on May 26, 1940, to the late Woodrow Wilson and Elizabeth Veronica (Dorchock) Tillery, Jacqui's vibrant spirit was evident from a young age. A 1958 graduate of Girard High School, she was a natural athlete who found joy and camaraderie in sports.

Jacqui's professional life began in the grocery business, a path that would lead her to the love of her life, James Domer. Their story began amidst the aisles of Loblaws and blossomed into a partnership that spanned 50 years. They were married in Meadville, PA, on September 23, 1982, and together, they became the proud owners and operators of Domer's Golden Dawn in Cochranton and Conneaut Lake, Pennsylvania. Their dedication to their business was a testament to their shared work ethic and commitment to their community.

Jacqui and Jim, along with family and dear friends from the grocery industry, traveled extensively, making annual trips to the sun-drenched shores of Aruba. Her love for travel also took her to the dazzling lights of Las Vegas, where she found delight in the lively energy of the casinos and the thrill of the slot machines.

A woman of deep faith, Jacqui was a devoted Catholic and a member of St. Robert Bellarmine Church. Her commitment to her faith was also expressed through her cherished role as a godmother, guiding her loved ones with love and spiritual wisdom.

Above all else, Jacqui was the heart of her family. She was a loving mother to her daughter Terri L. (Ron) Wentworth, and her two sons, James P. and Mark A. Domer. Known as "Aunt JaJa," Jacqui became a second mother to nephew Brad (Leah) Franken, and nieces Corey Franken, Amy Harris, Jackie (Casey) Branham, and Emily (Dave) Kline. Jacqui will be lovingly remembered by her sister Sallie Pearce, her brother Woodrow (Gayle) Tillery, and a close-knit circle of in-laws: Shirley (Vince) Carney, Paul "Tom" Domer, Raymond "Tim" Domer, Vincent "Joe" (Judy) Domer, John "Jack" Domer, and Gerald "Mike" (Linda) Domer. She also leaves behind a legacy of love as a cherished aunt to numerous nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. Jacqui's memory will be carried on by her adoring grandchildren: Ryan (Amy) Wentworth, Ashley (Mark) Rexroad, Brandi Noll, and Baylee (Tyler) Hughes, and her great-grandchildren who brought her immeasurable joy: Ainsley, Emerson, and Sloane Rexroad; Olivia and Owen Noll; and Bowie and Tulsa Hughes.

Jacqui is now reunited with her beloved husband, James Domer, who passed away on September 21, 2020, her parents, and her brother-in-law Gary Pearce.

Jacqui's life was celebrated with family and close friends at a private funeral on Thursday, February 5, 2026. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at Saint Patrick Church in Youngstown, officiated by Rev. Msgr. Robert Siffrin. She will be laid to rest in a private interment at Calvary Cemetery, beside her husband.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Edward J. Fox & Sons Funeral Home, 4700 Market St. Boardman.
