Jade Braslins

Jade Braslins (nee Friend), age 60, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2025. She was born on March 19, 1965 to Vernon and Sally Friend. Jade was a vibrant spirit who brought joy, laughter, and love into the lives of all who knew her.

She lived in Akron her whole life, graduated from Kenmore High School in 1983 and loved to spend time with family, especially her cherished grandchildren whom she was extremely proud of. She worked at Giant Eagle for thirteen years.

Jade was a person whose strength, kindness, and strong work ethic left a lasting impression on all who met her. Her proudest accomplishments included her close-knit family and her career.

Jade was preceded in death by her mother, Sally and her grandparents. She is survived by her loving husband of twenty-four years, Cliff; father, Vernon; daughter, Sarah Fowler (Danny); sisters, Laura Whitehead and Elaine Robertson; nieces and nephews, Rachel Steele (Jake) and Dalton Robertson, Matthew Whitehead; grandchildren, Danny Jr. and Jackie.

A visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, January 16, 2026 with a memorial service immediately following at 6 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N Canton Road Akron, Ohio 44305
