Jagger Lawrence Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by The Springs Funeral Services-North - Austin Bluffs on Apr. 8, 2022.
Dr. Jagger Farr Lawrence passed away peacefully on April 1, 2022, surrounded by those he loved. He was 79.
Born on June 21, 1942, in Portland, Oregon to Marion and Irene Lawrence. Jagger grew up in Ogden, Utah, along with his older sister, Jan; and his younger siblings, MaryAnn and Doug.
Jagger attended Weber High School, where he excelled in wrestling. Graduating in1960, he then went on to attend Weber State College before serving a two-year mission in Florida for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. After returning home from his mission, he went on a blind date where he was introduced to Sharon Dodge, the love of his life. Jagger and Sharon were married in the Salt Lake City Temple on September 1, 1965. They were happily married for fifty-seven years.
Jagger and Sharon lived in Utah briefly, until they headed off to Chicago, where Jagger attended Northwestern University Dental School and earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Jagger then served as a Captain in the US Army where they were stationed in Colorado Springs and decided it would be a great place to raise their family and build a dental practice.
Jagger and Sharon have two daughters, three sons, and fifteen grandchildren. Jagger's greatest Joy was his family, for whom he lived, and around which everything he did centered. Leading by example, he taught his children and grandchildren to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ, serve others, and the value of hard work. He was particularly proud that all his sons served missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and all their children were married in the temple. Sharon and Jagger also served as missionaries for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Hawaii.
Known for his positive and joyful attitude, people could often tell when Jagger was nearby when they heard his cheerful whistle.
He believed that, "after all is said and done, wealth, honor, and position will not be what matters in our lives; but our families, friends and service that we have rendered along the way will be what really counts."
Jagger will forever be honored and cherished by his children and their spouses, Brock (April) Lawrence, MarNé Lawrence, Bryant (Susan) Lawrence, Bryce (Stelene) Lawrence, and LaNé (Jared) Ulrich.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon; and his sister, MaryAnn and brother-in-law, Reed; and his children, Brock, Bryce, Bryant, and LaNé; and his fifteen grandchildren.
Visitation, 12:00PM, Tuesday, April 12, 2022; Funeral Service immediately following, 1:00PM, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4955 Meadowland Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80918.
The Funeral Service will be streamed live. The link to watch the live stream will be located in the events section below the obituary, or via provided link: https://client.tribucast.com/tcid/2936659341

My husband Val and Jagger attended Northwestern Dental School together and both settled in Colorado Springs to practice. Jagger was a great teaser of Val, who was a little bit taller on the basketball court. He would fake a foul and Val would get a penalty. They would laugh and tease each other. Another event was when they were taking a dental board and were staying at a hotel. Since Jagger knew wrestling moves one night he got Val in between the bed and wall and tickle him. A hole in the wall was the result of their wrestling. They loved each other. Jagger was there for Val, and Val was there for Jagger. Now they are both on the other side healthy, strong and serving the Lord with big grins.

To the Lawrence Family. Your dad (husband), was a great example to us. As our bishop he provided us with great advise. He lived his life the way he taught so many others. He taught his family correct principles, which they have applied in their lives. His example lives on with his family. It´s easy to say we love the Lawrence family. God bless.
