Jakie "Jake" Keith Thompson
August 8, 1963- December 25, 2025
Jakie "Jake" Keith Thompson, 62, passed away at his home in Worland, Wyoming after a long battle with Liver Cancer.
He was born on August 8, 1963 in Worland, Wyoming. At birth, he was adopted by Jake and Betty Jean (Beal) Thompson. He was a phenomenal athlete, and was a state champion in wrestling while in high school. He graduated from Worland High School in 1981 and went on to become a welder. Jake met his wife Kelli Thompson in 1984 in Kansas City, Kansas and they were blessed with 5 children, Jacob, Robert, Nicole, Miranda and Kelsi.
Jake loved the outdoors and Football. He loved cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs and a good conspiracy theory. Most of all he loved his family, especially his grandchildren.
Jake was preceded in death by his parents, Betty and Jake Thompson, sister, Peggy Davenport, and nephew Kirtis (Shane)Davenport.
He is survived by his wife, Kelli Thompson, sons, Jacob Thompson and Robert Thompson, daughters, Nicole Mortell and her husband, Randal, Miranda Reynolds, and Kelsi Thompson; his brother, Tony Thompson, and nephews, Leon Davenport and David Davenport, and six grandchildren. A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorial contributions be made to assist with funeral costs.
