Jalen X. Green was born June 7, 2003, the beloved son of Arthur and Towanda Green. He peacefully departed this life to be an angel with the Lord on Tuesday, October 28, 2025.
Jalen was born with special needs, and precious in the sight of God, and all those who loved and knew him. It was my pleasure to step in to be his big sister, his soul provider, and his caregiver. I asked God to give me strength, patience, and courage to care for him during good and bad days, and during time that were very hard. There were days I didn't know how I was going to manage caring for him and my family, but God provided and I am so grateful.
Jalen had a smile so bright, and a heart that was so big that anywhere he went, the room was bright as the sun was shining through. Everyone knew that Jalen loved women. When he played possum, I would tell him that that he was playing possum and ignoring me so that he could go back to the hospital to see the nurses and caregivers that showed him so much love and care when he was ill.
We are grateful to God that now he can get his rest; no more pain, no more being sick, no more people taking blood from him four or five times a day, and no more being poked and prodded by all of the doctors.
We will remember his love of listening to music, and the sweet bobble of his head to the beat of the music; and the smile that warmed everyone's heart who had the pleasure of being in his presence. We love and miss you, and you will never be forgotten.
Those who are cherishing fond and precious memories are his loving and devoted sister, Angela ( Angel); brothers, Arthur, Jr., and Alvin; a special nephew and niece who lovingly help care for him, Davon and tierra; a host of other nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces; uncles, aunts, cousins, and other loving relatives and dear friends, all of whom will dearly miss him, but rejoice that he is now with the Lord.
