Jamael Carter

A Brief Sketch of His Life
Jamael "Garg" Carter was born to the late Rev. Arvery J. Bush, Sr. and Vivian D. Carter, on September 13, 1981, in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Jamael received his education in the Metropolitan School District of Wayne Township. He accepted Christ at an early age. He loved to have devotion at home. He would always read a scripture. He loved his family and friends. Jamael took care of everyone, and he would literally give you the shirt off his back. If you took him out to eat he would end up paying for everyone's food. "Garg", as he was affectionately known, had a heart of gold. Jamael worked at his truck company Carter Xpress Unlimited and Carter Family Cleaners. We can't leave out his fur son, Drizzy. Everyone that knew Jamael, knew Drizzy. He loved to travel and read books. He loved to eat good food. He would always tell his mom, "You make the best fried chicken, Viv". He loved the Alabama Crimson Tide football team. He was a huge jokester.
He truly was an overcomer. He was a devoted son that LOVED his mother dearly. He was a loving father, son, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin and friend. We stress, he took good care of his family. His faith and perseverance and determination allowed him to be a witness and a testimony to the goodness of God.
Jamael departed this earthly life on October 6, 2022 at the age of forty-one years old. Jamael was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Arvery J. Bush, Sr., and grandparents, J. T. and Hattie Mae Carter.
Jamael leaves to cherish his memories children, Sierra, Jamell, J'nyah, Jylan, David, and Cameron; mother, Vivian D. Carter; grandmother, Bernice Carter; bonus children, Mario, and Darius; brothers, Terrell, Derek, David, and Titus; sisters, Ronnisha and Lameeka; partner, Paris; godchildren, Caliana and Armani; nieces, Dalynn, Dream and Mariah; nephew, Kaycen; godmother, Katie; god brothers, Earl and Mario; god sisters, Marlo and Elnora; bonus mom, Doris Barker; uncles, Jim, Melvin, Jody, Tony, and Buford, and a host of family and friends.
