JaMarco Demetries Reid, a native and resident of Mobile, AL was

born June 14, 1994 to a loving and devoted mother and father Priscilla

Cole and Michael Merity. He entered the gates of Heaven on Tuesday,

August 12, 2025.

JaMarco attended Murphy High School, and was a proud member of the

graduating Class of 2013. He had a love for football and was a

cornerback for the Murphy's Football Team. He continued his education

attending Alabama A&M University. JaMarco had a passion for cooking

and was recently promoted on his job from a dishwasher to a grill cook.

JaMarco accepted Christ as His Lord and Savior attending Plum Street

Missionary Baptist Church, and later joined One Way Outreach Holiness

Ministries.

JaMarco loved sports football and basketball. He enjoyed spending time

with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents: Lillie Mae and

James Reid, Elizabeth and Preston Smith, and Fadie Mae and James

Merity; uncle, Lamar Odom; and bonus father, Larry Cole.

JaMarco leaves to cherish his memories, a loving and devoted

grandmother, Juanita (Charlie) McClain; grandfather, Glen Smith of

Hubert, NC; six aunts: Mary Jones and Larven Sewell of Mobile, AL,

Tanya Smith of Greenville, SC, Dorothy Donald of Detriot, MI, Mada

(Otis) Richardson, and Yolanda (Stanley) Martin; three devoted aunts:

Janice Merity, Nakia (Phillip) Rankin, and Shirley James; two uncles:

Stanley Merity and Gregory (Christine) Herrine; six siblings: Larry

Boone, Avis Boone, Jarvis Boone, Kyron Boone, Jalessa Harris, and

Bennie Buskey; two devoted sisters: Jasmine Reid and JaBria Reid; two

devoted brother-in-laws: Brian Taylor and Nicholas Lawson; one

devoted Godsister; Shamya Hart; honorary parents, Becky (James)

Devery; a host of nieces and nephews, three devoted nieces: Jameriyah

Reid, Jordyn Taylor and Journey Taylor; honorary niece, Becca

Sprinkle; two devoted nephews: Carlos Cade, Jr. and Jeremiah Cade; a

host of cousins, six devoted: Bianca Merity, DeAnthony Cole, Phillip

Rankin, Jr., Nicole James, Marlon Ingram, and Shamichael Samuel; a

host of friends, twelve devoted: Lorenzo Goldsmith, Marcus McCants,

Carlos Jones, Jaquan Gibson, John Parker, Cedric Thrash, Tevin

McKenzie, Brandon Fleeton, Kenton Bettis, Tyrik Blount, Jaquarius

Brown, and Roderick Stanley; two special friends: Alexandra Pettway

and Asia Jackson.
